Hello there reader. I’m Miranda Tomic, the woman behind the WordableNYC curtain! I have an obsession with the written word and I’m excited to support your content needs. I’ve lived several lives in the communications world over the past decade, tackling and conquering all facets of content creation. Storytelling is my passion, from start to finish. I love diving into your world and producing material that showcases who you are and what you have to offer.
Before my foray into professional communications, I was an avid reader, consuming all the books I could get my hands on. I graduated from St. John’s College, “the Great Books School” with a Bachelors in Liberal Arts and a stronger vision prescription. From there, I took my curiosity off the page and into the world, pursuing a Masters in International Relations at The New School University.
In the time since my academic years, I’ve worn many hats, but all with the core focus on content, communication, and connection. I managed the fundraising program for a non-profit organization, compiled research for an international development agency, led marketing and communications for a professional services firm, and developed content for an array of small businesses. In each of these roles, communication has been key.
When not typing away, I spend my time reading, visiting new cities, museum hopping, exercising, and binging Netflix. I’ll travel anywhere once (really anywhere, ask me). The beach is my happy place and summer is my favorite season. And MOST importantly – I’ll defend the oxford comma until my last breath! Kidding… mostly.
